Following the reopening of services after Covid-19 and the launch of our 5 year strategy we spoke to both out volunteer led groups in Meopham and Gravesend. We wanted to ensure we all had a shared vision for what needed to be achieved for people with dementia and their carers.

During those talks it became clear that whilst we all cared passionately about the support we provide our views on how we delivered that support and to who was different.

We are so grateful to the Meopham volunteers for taking the bold step of setting up independently to continue a Meopham Carers Support Group and we will continue to work in partnership with them. This enables us to focus on the services we are funded to deliver across Dartford, Gravesend and Swanley knowing that the carers of Meopham and surrounding villages are extremely well catered for.

We wish Hazel, Elaine, Janice, Sylvia, Ann and Jennifer all the very best with their independent group and look forward to creating an excellent partnership
