Support Worker Roles
We’re looking to recruit people who are as passionate as we are about empowering people affected with dementia to live their best lives – your enthusiasm to help and willingness to understand and empathise with the challenges that people are facing is what we are looking for – experience isn’t necessary if you have the right attitude and share our values.
We are looking to grow our team of Community Support Workers who are the heart and soul of ADSS. You will visit people in their own homes to support them with activities of their choosing in the way that they wish to be supported.
You’ll be able to commit to a regular pattern of work (whether that be weekends/evenings only or just a few days a week) and own a car.
You’ll be passionate about maintaining dignity and strive to always go above and beyond for the people you support. We’ll provide you with comprehensive in-house training which will cover The Care Certificate as well as providing you with knowledge about dementia. It is important to understand that everyone is unique – a diagnosis of dementia does not define an individual – they are still the same person they always were.
Each visit will be a minimum of 1 hour long and travel time is allocated and paid between each visit. Mileage is paid at 45p per mile.
We strive to achieve excellence in the care and support that we give to our Team, as well as people affected by dementia.
“I have worked for this organisation for some time now and I can honestly say that all staff work to support clients and their carers with passion and integrity. I always feel well supported and am never afraid to ask for help. I am proud to work for ADSS.”
“The senior staff are always there to listen to me. Whether it be a problem at work or at home. Even for good things.
